ScriptExpert is a Windows and Linux desktop workspace for PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript projects. It brings together an editor, project file tools, a Cline-based AI Agent, terminal, local server, database manager, browser preview, snippets, plugins, FTP publishing and work analytics.
Yes. The website offers separate free downloads for Windows and Linux. The Free plan includes free support, lifetime updates, up to three projects, free plugins, community support and the ability to upgrade to Pro.
Pro includes everything in Free plus priority support, free and paid plugins, AI Agent chat, Database Manager, Snippets, Local Server, FTP publishing and unlimited projects.
ScriptExpert includes profiles for OpenAI, a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, OpenRouter, Groq, Google Gemini, GitHub Models, Cerebras, Together AI, DeepSeek, Mistral, xAI, LM Studio and Ollama.
Yes. Ollama and LM Studio are supported for local models. Ollama may also run on another computer or server on your network by changing the configured URL.
No. Cloud-provider API usage and billing are managed by the selected provider. Some providers may offer free quotas or free models, while others require paid usage. Local models use your own hardware.
Depending on mode and access, it can read and search files, inspect images, create or edit files, create and delete directories, prepare ZIP archives, download files, run terminal commands, inspect database schemas and execute approved database operations.
Plan mode focuses on reading, analysis and a proposed implementation plan. Act mode allows tools to perform approved changes. Access controls provide another safety layer for direct file, terminal and database operations.
Yes. The Local Server control center manages Apache, PHP and MariaDB components and connects to project preview and database tools.
Yes. The Database Manager can create databases and tables, add columns, inspect structures, browse rows and import or export SQL.
The application interface includes English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Portuguese, Romanian, Turkish, Greek, Russian, Arabic and Hindi.
Yes. The application has a plugin system. Free includes free plugins, while Pro supports free and paid plugins according to their individual license terms.
The configured plan content includes lifetime application updates. ScriptExpert has an integrated updater for checking and installing supported releases.
Eligible Pro purchases may be refunded within 30 days under the conditions described in the Refund Policy and Terms and Conditions.
Projects remain in the folders you select on your computer. Application settings, provider credentials and AI conversation data use the Electron user-data location. You should maintain independent backups of important projects and databases.
No. The website has separate Windows and Linux download buttons so each link can point to the correct package.
